Following our grant in 2011 from The Big Lottery Fund - Awards for All, we have now refurbished the Church Rooms by installing a disabled unisex toilet in place of the old ladies' loo and we have replaced the low-level windows and external doors with secure double glazed units which greatly enhance the property.

This has improved everyone’s enjoyment of the Church Rooms, including use by those previously unable to use the Church Rooms due to inadequate facilities for the disabled. We would therefore ask you to consider using the premises as a venue for your children’s parties and fund raising activities and also as a venue for your regular classes or groups. We have very competitive prices and all enquiries should be made to Susan or Roger as above.

AND MORE VERY GOOD NEWS ...! (August 2016)

It is with great excitement that we can inform you that, after completing their stringent questionnaire and application form, THE BIG LOTTERY FUND – Awards for All - has granted our request for a grant of £7,552 to enable us to replace the gas-fired hot-air heater in The Church Rooms.   The old heater was becoming extremely noisy in operation and very expensive to run.   On some winter evenings we had to suffer turning off the heating to enable us to hear our speakers!!  We hope to have the new, much quieter, heater installed during the first week of September … so ready for the winter season.

Our enormous thanks to Chris Chant for all his help in making our application a success.
